Cheaper Removals for You – How To Save Money
We charge by the half hour, so the way to move you cheaper is to do the job faster. Here are some tips on how to make your removals faster and cheaper:
Box It Up
Anything that can fit in a box should be in a box (use packing tape and try not to overfill them). Not only does this make packing the truck faster it also means making fewer trips to the truck.
Assist With Move
If you are lucky enough to have a strong back you can save money by using one removalist instead of two. Otherwise just helping with the boxes and lighter things can save you time and money.
Lock Off Lift
Contact your building manager and tell them you want the lift locked off for the date of your move. If a lift isn’t locked off the doors open and close while we’re trying to load your goods which adds substantially to the time a move takes.
The best idea is to reserve a park for us either with your own vehicle or using wheelie bins. However if you live in a city apartment it is better to ask your building manager for advice.
Just Move the Big Stuff
If you have access to a car or ute the easiest way to save money is by using our services to move your bigger items only.
Use Three Removalists
If your move involves an unavoidable long walk or three or more flights of stairs our experience shows that the job works out cheaper for you with three removalists on it.
Renting a Truck
Beware of the false economy of hiring a truck. For example, it will cost you about $180 including petrol & insurance to hire a truck, for the same money you could employ one removalist in the van for around three hours.
